(how to reach?) ग्वालियर एयरपोर्ट कूनो नेशनल पार्क के सबसे नजदीक स्थित एयरपोर्ट है। यह एयरपोर्ट देश के अन्य शहरों जैसे दिल्ली, कोटा, पटना, जयपुर आदि से भली भांति जुड़ा हुआ है। दिल्ली एयरपोर्ट से ग्वालियर के लिए फ्लाइट लगभग ₹2000 से ₹3000 तक की आती है। आप नई दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन से ट्रेन के माध्यम से भी ग्वालियर पहुंच सकते हैं। इसके अलावा आप बाय रोड भी कूनो नेशनल पार्क पहुंच सकते हैं। जिम कॉर्बेट राष्ट्रीय उद्यान (Jim Corbette National Park) पहाड़ियों की गोद में बसे हुए इस नेशनल पार्क में आकर आपके सारे थकान दूर हो जाएंगे और मन तरोताजा हो जाएगा। यह एक हिल स्टेशन(hill station) नेशनल पार्क है। आपको यह जानकर हैरानी होगी कि यहां 480 से भी ज्यादा प्रकार के पौधे पाए जाते हैं (rich biodiversity)। नैनीताल के पास बसा यह नेशनल पार्क हाल फिलहाल के दिनों में पर्यटकों के लिए खासा आकर्षण का केंद्र रहा है। इतिहास (history) यह पार्क उत्तराखंड के रामनगर में स्थित है। जिम कार्बेट नेशनल पार्क को 1936 में हेली नेशनल पार्क के रूप में स्थापित किया गया था। जिम कॉर्बेट ने इस पार्क की स्थापना में बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी और उन्हीं के सम्मान के लिए इस पार्क का नाम बदलकर जिम कार्बेट नेशनल पार्क किया गया। इस नेशनल पार्क का क्षेत्रफल लगभग 1318 वर्ग किलोमीटर है और यह नेशनल पार्क ना सिर्फ जंगली जानवरों बल्कि कई प्रकार के प्रवासी पक्षियों और तितलियों का भी घर है। यह नेशनल पार्क हमारे देश का सबसे पुराना नेशनल पार्क भी है और इसकी स्थापना लुप्त हो चुके बंगाली बाघों (Royal Bengal tiger) के रक्षा के लिए किया गया था। बाघों के संरक्षण के लिए यहां सबसे पहले पहल किया गया था। कार्बेट नेशनल पार्क में पहाड़ी, नदी, दलदल के गड्ढे, घास के मैदान और एक बड़ी झील शामिल है। इस पार्क में आपको ताल, पीपल, रोहिणी और आम आदि के पेड़ देखने को मिल जाएंगे। यह पार्क नम पर्णपाती वनों की सूची में आता है। इस पार्क में आपको कई प्रकार के टूरिस्ट जोन देखने को मिलते हैं। जिनमें से कुछ निम्नांकित हैं (types of tourist zone) – बिजरानी सफारी जोन : इस सफारी जोन की खासियत यहां के खुले घास के मैदान हैं। यह सफारी जोन रामनगर से 1 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। ढेला सफारी जोन : यह नया इको टूरिज्म सफारी जोन है। जिसे नवंबर 2014 में शुरू किया गया था। यह सफारी जोन इकलौता ऐसा सफारी जोन है जो नेशनल पार्क के बफर जोन में स्थित है। बफर जोन की रिच बायोडायवर्सिटी पर्यटकों का ध्यान अपनी ओर आकर्षित करती है। यहीं वजह है कि इस सफारी जोन के लिए लोगों की भीड़ ज्यादा होती है। झिरना सफारी जोन : यह सफारी जोन पूरे साल भर पर्यटकों के लिए खुला रहता है और यह रामनगर सिटी से 16 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। इनके अतिरिक्त यहां दुर्गा देवी जोन, सीताबनी जोन जैसे सफारी जॉन भी हैं। जो पर्यटकों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करते हैं। कैसे पहुंचे?
